Summer Orientation
About the summer orientation
The summer orientation is a 75-minute, synchronous orientation designed to support all new international teaching assistants (ITAs) who speak English as an additional language.
This is a wonderful opportunity for new international graduate students to network with other ITAs and meet the ITA program staff. In addition to timely practical advice, participants will hear advice from current and former ITAP students about navigating teaching and studies at Cornell. Participants will also have time to ask questions about the ITAP courses and learn about additional support and professional development opportunities available to graduate students at Cornell.

- develop practical skills they can use to be successful TAs at Cornell
- identify additional support services offered by the Center for Teaching Innovation to all Cornell graduate students
