Getting Started in Canvas

This 60-minute webinar is for instructors with little to no Canvas experience who are looking to move their courses online. Explore the basics of Canvas functions, learn how to upload and organize course materials, and find out how to communicate and interact with students in Canvas. This workshop is intended to be an overview and introduction, with other workshops available that will explore various tools at a deeper level.

Using Zoom for Teaching Online

Using Panopto for Creating & Sharing Video Online

This 60-minute webinar is for instructors who are interested in recording lectures for their students to watch in their Canvas course. Learn how to use the Panopto recorder to record lectures from your own computer and then place these recordings into a Canvas Module. Topics will include setting up Panopto for Canvas, downloading the recorder, recording a lecture, and making a recording available to students.

Polling for Online Classes

Polling for your online classes using iClicker. This webinar is for instructors already using iClicker in their class who want to continue to use iClicker in live online sessions. Your iClicker questions can be presented in your live Zoom sessions. Students can respond using their smartphones, laptop computers, and tablets from their location anywhere in the world. This webinar will show you how to set up your iClicker program to enable the student app use if you are not already allowing this feature. Also, we will share a form with you to request free account information for any student who currently uses a clicker in your class so they can use the iClicker Reef Polling app at no charge.
