Due to a global security incident, Canvas is currently unavailable. This outage has caused significant disruption to colleges and universities across the country, and Instructure, the company that provides Canvas, is working on resolving the issue.

We know how disruptive this outage is for you and your students, especially at the end of the semester. Clear communication with students is important during dynamic and uncertain situations, so we encourage you to reach out to your students via your course rosters in Faculty Center. It can be helpful to let them know you’re aware of the situation, and to provide any relevant course updates, information or digital materials that they may need to help them feel supported during an already stressful period. 

While Canvas is unavailable, we’d also like to share some alternative tools and technologies to help with various teaching tasks. You can also still access Zoom meetings and recordings that were previously scheduled in Canvas directly via Zoom.
