Apply to join the Provost's Working Group on Innovation in Assessment
The Provost's Working Group on Innovation and Assessment consists of Provost’s Assessment Initiative Fellows from across Cornell. Fellows participate in the PWGIA for one academic year, developing and implementing assessment innovations into one of their courses. They then share the results with the working group and the wider Cornell community. Fellows are also expected to join monthly 75-minute meetings beginning in early September. In addition to these monthly meetings, we offer optional programming for faculty throughout the academic year. The working group is also supported by a dedicated postdoctoral associate who can assist with implementing assessment innovations and collecting data on the results.
Compensation
Provost’s Assessment Initiative Fellows will be awarded $5,000, contributed to their research or discretionary accounts.
Eligibility
Open to all faculty members, with a preference for those teaching introductory or foundational disciplinary courses at the undergraduate level.
