Experimenting with Generative AI
Welcome to our generative AI playground, the Creative Technology Lab’s initiative to help instructors envision, experience, and evaluate generative AI technologies. We invite you to visit the lab to access our toolkit, a collection of tools and techniques put together for use across disciplines. Building core literacies and methods for critical engagement are timely approaches to both develop your teaching practice and your students’ AI literacy.
Working together, we’ll help imagine effective implementation of GAI. We’ll also save you the steps of creating your user accounts, paying licensing fees, or unwillingly sharing personal data with online communities.
If you're looking to preclude the use of generative AI in your course, we’re also available to help envision and design assignments and assessments that can help you achieve this goal through meaningful and creative approaches.
What’s in the generative AI toolkit for teaching and learning
- Access to several large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT 4, Copilot, and Gemini (formerly known as Bard). Provide tokens and training for Stable Diffusion and Dall-e.
- Consultations and assistance with evaluating other generative AI tools useful for teaching.
- Advice on techniques for prompting and building effective sessions using iterative and incremental interactions with these technologies.
